A trivial fact that the first function could shortly be written as: f(x) = x*|x|/2
And it is the indefinite integral of |x

I made this formula DeltaL = DeltaY - DeltaX DeltaY = Y_2 - Y_1 DeltaX = X_2 - X_1 Let Y is f(x) and X_2 = X_1 + h DeltaL(x) = [f(x + h) - f(x)] - [h] It is like derivative but with no limits {h = 1 so DeltaL(x) = f(x + 1) - f(x) - 1}

Might be instructive to show more non-differentiable examples. I'm not sure, but isn't the measure of differentiable functions zero compared to all functions?
