You could add cut marks to your design to help with aligning. Just print two X in areas that get cut off anyway and use the detail shot in XCS to align the graphic to those spots.

If you don't want the edge border to show the substrate then instead of creating an offset - create an inset cut path and have it inset to just inside the printed area.  We typically allow for a small overprint in the graphic print (if we cut then print) to make sure that all of the substrate gets covered, but in this case you were printing then cutting.  So it just really depends on what you want the final look to be, with border whatever the color the substrate is or having the print cover the full surface area by setting print with a small bleed or doing the cut with a small inset.

Another tip that I teach for Inkscape, is to have a 1" square beside your design, so you can check it when it's brought into the laser software to make sure the size is correct.

Tip for resizing issues: in Inkscape or Lightburn, users need to adjust your DPI settings to 72 for files made in illustrator.

Your so lucky to have your machine right now to make things for the 4th of July.  I was really interested in this video cause I was wondering the same thing... Can you print first then cut?  I was overwhelmed  by all the steps it took... Im not sure Id wanna print first lol.  But it's nice to know you can.  I love to see that you are continuing to make stuff with this machine because from all the other videos that have been made with this machine not very many are making videos like you.  So thank you... Happy 4th to you and family.

I believe you should not cut plastic in your P2 laser because they release toxic fumes that can even damage your laser

you can't print "HUGE" things with the E1 because its print size is limited to just 13x16.5 inch, HUGE would be if it could print 33.1x46.8 inch
