"Aura" seems like the wrong word. An aura is usually taken to mean something like a the glow we see around a light source when viewing it through a lens (and that's how Sabine has visualised it in the video) but if our bodies are emitting light then our bodies would take on that colour, not the space around out bodies. (the rats images show this too)
Given how some people are already confused by the nature of human auras this sort of misrepresentation is something the science community might want to keep clear of.

I have had extra sensory perceptions of things for most of my life. A traumatic brain injury years ago increased the perceptions. I think the mice died in vain. In my humble opinion there was no need to do that particular experiment for two reasons: First, there is always a reasonable possibility that something emitting heat will also emit waves at other wavelengths, produce harmonics, bleed/decay into a wider band, etc, so it should be expected that some faint emissions will be detected in the visible spectrum. Second, while being as pragmatic as possible, my understanding is that the aura isn't supposed to be made of visible light, but some other kind of energy field which can't be measured with cameras, or everyone would be able to see auras. I don't know if auras exist or not, I doubt it, but can't dismiss the possibility entirely without at least knowing when the concept of the aura first came to be. Was it in some ancient texts, perhaps from India, or someone tripping on LSD?
There are entire industries revolving around people's credulity and this seems to fall in that category, at least based on the context in which auras usually are mentioned, yet from a scientific perspective, considering that all living organisms do broadcast various EMFs, we shouldn't be too quick at dismissing the possibility that other types of fields exist and that there could be more to life than we currently understand.

2:12 I do actually think meditation has a indirect impact on your 'aura' and its really not that strange when you think about it. Thoughts can create or reduce things like stress, which impact your heart rate, temperature, energy flow and metabolism in general which ofc in turn impacts the way that thermal and electromagnetic energies travel through your body.
Meditations impact is probably negligible for most people, but simply changing what you are thinking about CAN have a dramatic impact on your energy. But by the same token, watching porn or the news also likely shifts the aura by the same amount.
Im more curious if its true that some people can actually see auras or not. My instinct is its bullshit but I can't totally rule it out and there are some credible people that say they can see it. I see what i call “black smoke” in the center of my vision. It moves outwards and if i stare at the sky, it can enlarge a little. Resets if i look away. I see it in both eyes. If i go inside i do not see it. It most closely resembles the old intro of “A haunting” in terms of opacity as well as movement. If you watch the old intro look for the part where the white background is and you will see the black smoke dissipate in the white background. It is very similar to this. Ive had it since i was 12 (im now 25). It used to annoy me to go outside because id see it. But now im used to it. When i go outside it will not automatically be there, its sporadic in its appearance. It can take anywhere between 5-30 minutes of exposure to the outdoor sunlight before it pops up.
I have never found an answer or anyone with a similar experience as to what it might be.
Its either in my head or something with my eyes… but id think if it were in my head i might see it even indoors.. but i dont.. only in sunlight.

Haven't esoteric traditions not been speaking about the astral/etheric body for ages (Prana/Qi)? What if we have a material and etheric/astral body? So many old books and even scientists (prior to the enforcement of scientific materialism) spoke about this.
