That s why ploto is super special ❤❤❤❤?
2025-05-20 19:24
i feel like i was the only kid who was like "oh, that's neat" when they just said "no, it's not a planet anymore" cause it opened the world to me, it made me realize, WE come up with labels for things, WE are the ones that called it a planet in the first place. i was so amazed cause everything i knew just... exists, and it's we that have analyzed it, given it names, given it categorize correlating to other similar things.
2025-05-20 18:37
In short, they changed the definition of a planet in Pluto isn't clearing its orbital path like the other s planets
2025-05-20 18:15
I like that Pluto is a dwarf planet with dwarf planet friends. For some reason if it was the only dwarf planet that would be so much worse!
2025-05-20 16:00
Luv how people who make up calculations and theorems to fit their needs ! Who cares Pluto is a planet !
2025-05-20 15:58
Dwarf people are still people, dwarf human are still human, dwarf planet are still planet.
2025-05-20 15:06

Pluto is the space version of nepotism
2025-05-20 13:40
I love Pluto but... I like the other dwarf planets better and I don't see why Pluto should get special treatment
2025-05-20 13:37
No. You never answered your own question.
2025-05-20 12:57
Pluto is a planet here no matter what people say
2025-05-20 12:00
Its still a planet
Just because the flat earthers say it isnt doesn't make it true.
2025-05-20 11:59
Y'all need to listen to Johnathan Coulton's song about Pluto named "I'm your Moon."
2025-05-20 11:30
Again IAU will regret and publish we have 9 planets ?
2025-05-20 11:27
Forced to be an outcast cause you were small ?
2025-05-20 10:47
And now it’s smaller than the USA
2025-05-20 10:12
Thanks I appreciate this I lost my chance to go to MIT because my teachers kept asking me how many planets there are and they didn't know the answers to the questions even though I did and so they gave me grades just bad enough not to get into MIT all the other colleges wanted me but the one that I was trying to get into and pretty much the only answer that I ever missed in school was how many planets there were during the time where they had no idea
2025-05-20 08:15
Ok, pluto is small but not smaller than the moon right. Right?
2025-05-20 06:07
Pluto is smaller than Russia tho
2025-05-20 05:54
The International Astronomical Union seems to recognize Pluto's planetary status given that they designated it "Dwarf Planet", that my friends, IS a planet, this being a "short video" doesn't mean IS NOT a video; adding an adjective to a subject doesn't negate said subject. So until the IAU change the name, I must say, Pluto is still a planet, of the "Dwarf kind", and I'll die in that hill. Maybe planetoid, it could even be quasi-planet, planet-ish, that or we change the whole language and accept that as human beings we are not "beings".
2025-05-20 05:51
Pluto was my favourite planet as a kid, then they told me it wasn't a planet anymore in 1st grade. Was kinda sad but it's so cool to now find out the reason why it was declassified!
2025-05-20 05:50
Hi , you say there is thirteen ghosts .Eight
2025-05-20 05:38
Ever heard a word called exception?
2025-05-20 05:25
It's still weird to think that there was people that grew up thinking there was *8* planets, and then later there was 9. And for the few that lived long enough (which is unlikely, but not impossible), they learned there was 8 again.
2025-05-20 05:23
Gonna tell my kids "When I was your age, Pluto was a planet."
2025-05-20 04:18
Pluto went from the smallest planet to one of the largest dwarf planets. And I think it’s happier there
2025-05-20 03:58
People be like "Hot Take: *prevailing opinion*"
2025-05-20 03:50
PLUTO WILL ALWAYS BE A PLANET
2025-05-20 03:45
We still have *U r a n u s* though ???
2025-05-20 03:21
It's still a dwarf planet, so technically still sort of a planet.
2025-05-20 03:14
It's a dwarf planet ?
2025-05-20 02:37
It was as painful as finding out the brontosaurus wasn't real either. ?
2025-05-20 02:36
So it comes down to body size, lifestyle and neighbours... So racist.
2025-05-20 02:32
How can I get planet status?
2025-05-20 01:04
Pluto was, still is, and always will be a planet.
2025-05-20 00:53
Pluto is the best baby!
2025-05-19 23:51
but every orbit is an ellipse, so why is pluto’s weird?
2025-05-19 23:40
Oh my lord absolutely love that button up!!!❤
2025-05-19 23:23
What about planet Hollywood ?
2025-05-19 22:50
As the ambassador of pluto. I revoke Earth's status as a planet, because it's too big.
2025-05-19 22:47
Pluto is still a planet. It is simply a dwarf planet. I feel most scientists don't adequately understand how the english language works. Which is a concern because they are the ones naming things.
2025-05-19 22:43
They already discovered the real reason why Pluto is not a planet. It’s because of greedy Plutonians, shows in Rick and Morty series
2025-05-19 22:36
Pluto is still a planet ?
2025-05-19 22:22
Let's move Pluto to orbit Earth like our Moon! We'll just have them at opposite ends so it's balanced!
2025-05-19 22:21
You must SAY "According to Humans on Earth" Pluto is not a planet. We are no even dust of universe.
2025-05-19 20:21
Gustav Holst had it right the whole time!
2025-05-19 19:31
Love your videos! So nice to see someone put of information that is actually interesting and educational unlike most woman your age posting videos of their annoying makeup routines with their stupid voices. Sorry can you tell im fed up with it lmao! Your great and thank you for being you!
2025-05-19 19:25
Thanks again Tyson ?
2025-05-19 19:11
Jerry knows the truth
2025-05-19 16:46
kids nowdays would NEVER know the debate between those who said p,uto is a planet and those who said it wasnt.
2025-05-19 16:44
It’s completely made up 3 steps to be called a planet. Even Tyson admitted that if Pluto is planet, then 50+ other celestial buddies are supposed to be to and they can’t do that.
THEY JUST WANTED A GOOD NUMBER FOR PLANETS!! This is the only reason, just cuz they don’t want solar system be filled with planets, cuz it will ruin their ideal solar models and etc. absolutely nothing stops Pluto being a planet and other 50+ copper belt objects. They literally invented this 3 rules exactly after discovering them. So I call bs every time they say Pluto is not a planet, cuz it is, like those others 50, you cannot remove it from planets just because then it is not fit into ideal perspective of the solar model
2025-05-19 16:08
Because every now and then, scientists have to make s*** up to get grants and people interested again.
2025-05-19 16:03
The only reason why people ''love'' it, is because it shares a name with a Disney character. If it was called something like P20394R, no one would've given a crap.
2025-05-19 15:02
As a fan of sailor moon, Pluto is still a planet and Idgaf.
2025-05-19 14:55
the fact that it never shouldve been isnt a hot take.. it's just.. true
2025-05-19 14:33
It's not really a hot take, that's exactly why Pluto is no longer a planet, because it should have never been considered one.
2025-05-19 14:15
I love the book “how I killed Pluto and why it had it coming” which details how this happened. Saw it on my friend’s desk in high school and it was one of the best reads I’ve ever had.

2025-05-19 13:09

A planet should have to have an atmosphere.
2025-05-19 12:56
"Everybody gangster still Hades pulls up"
2025-05-19 11:02
Still not really that good of a reason.
'if pluto classifies as a planet then so would the other x objects be planets too' okay, and so what? So there is more planets in our system, big deal. Even if there is few hundred objects that would classify as planets, then again, so what?
It would be: 'there is x amount of planets in our system but those 8 are the main/biggest ones.'
2025-05-19 10:41
Thanks you still at least love pluto
2025-05-19 08:23
it went from being the smallest planet to the coolest dwarf planet, i call that strictly better
2025-05-19 07:56
So Pluto isn't a planet because they found other planets, and that means they'd have to be given validity too. Sounds like these "scientists" were just lazy.
2025-05-19 06:59
They’re just jealous of Ms. Pluto ?
2025-05-19 06:40
Don't you guys think you're way too emotional with pluto for it being removed from the planet's list??
2025-05-19 06:02
We love Pluto ❤
2025-05-19 05:46
To me I think it’s better for Pluto to stay a dwarf planet as it’s a special kind of planet plus there are more of its kind and there are more dwarf planets that then normal planets as of what we know already.
2025-05-19 05:26
So, what is the vicinity of Pluto called, now. Plutonic Belt?
2025-05-19 05:07
The real reason is that it talked smack about earth.
2025-05-19 04:16
It has a orbit, it is round, it is big, it was discovered in 1930 by the Lowell Observatory by astronomer Clyde W. Tombaugh. It’s a real full planet, don’t care about what current astronuts think about it.
2025-05-19 04:15
Pluto is the Ninth Planet in our solar system. Don’t care what Neil Degnegitive says
2025-05-19 04:11
pluto and the three are now cassified as dwarf planets which was not mentioned in the video
2025-05-19 03:44
How can people be mad because a planet, light years away, being not one anymore
2025-05-19 03:18
Aliens from Pluto are gonna be mad about the status of their homeworld.
2025-05-19 03:14
Plutos not a planet!!!!! And it never truly was! Just cause something (or someone) is assigned a label, doesnt make it true!!
2025-05-19 03:12
Still my favorite planet
2025-05-19 02:33
i think we should come up with a new term for bodies like pluto that isn't "dwarf planet" that makes like it sound like it's for planet rejects, and also educate people more on the other newer celestial bodies we've discovered in our solar system! an entire pr campaign!
2025-05-19 02:29
sorry, Pluto is a planet. you need to get right with yourself. have some self respect
2025-05-19 01:53
Neptune hasn't cleared its vicinity. Pluto is in its orbit. Neptune is not a planet.
2025-05-19 00:35

2025-05-19 00:32

Don´t matter what they say, Pluto. I still love you.

2025-05-18 23:23
Pluto will FOREVER live in our solar system- especially because of Sailor Pluto ?
2025-05-18 23:02
I love pluto too. That news hurt me so much. I said to pluto: you'll always be my little planet ?
2025-05-18 22:52
I like the system where instead of obsessing over is it a moon or a planet, and things like that, we instead categorize the bodies by what they are doing, like we do for stars, so is it a rocky blob that hasn't become round under its own gravity (it has a name, I forgot it)? then its an asteroid, and then if it has become round under its gravity, well that's a [articular form, so that's a planetoid. and then we also denote its orbit, if its orbiting a star, that's a stellar orbit, so a stellar asteroid, or a stellar planetoid, aka a planet, and then if its orbiting a stellar object, then its a lunar orbit, and so we get lunar planets, and lunar asteroids, and we'd call those lunar planets 'moons', like our moon, its bigger then some traditional planets in our system, and it used to be one, and technically its still orbiting the sun not the earth, so why does it go from planet to moon status? its weird, so now we'd say its still a planet, its just a lunar one, and this also better denotes all the more interesting moons in the solar system, separating them from all the asteroids. and then we can just break up the planets into other classifications based on other things, like the whole dwarf planet, or gas giant, or whatever, but they are all planets, and so this would get pluto back in, along with its friends, but also a bunch of moons, including ours, into the planet group, and then there'd be like the primary/major planets, those that orbit the star(s) or the system, and hit those other major things.
idk it just makes more sense to me, and like you'd be able to tell if its a planetoid just by looking at it, then you can just go in and check its orbit and size and other things to better place its planet-ness
2025-05-18 21:54
Pluto doesn't care what someone thinks of him
2025-05-18 21:08
Pluto could basically become a planet by merging /crashing with/into another planet ????
2025-05-18 20:59
Dwarf planet are as cool as planets, but cant be as cool as the moons of gas giants ?
2025-05-18 20:54
Me wearing my RIP Pluto
Never forget 1930 - 2006 tshirt....
2025-05-18 20:47
What does “have to have cleared its vicinity mean” lol sorry if it’s a dumb question
2025-05-18 19:21
I like Pluto more, from the ugly duckling of the planets to the king of the kuiper belt, even if Eris is bigger
2025-05-18 19:00
Shrink ___shrink ___shrink ? I thought Cleo made Pluto shrink with her words.?
Shrink shrink felt like a little poetry.
2025-05-18 18:21
Everyone: Pluto is a planet! We love Pluto! We still include Pluto even though respectful - it is a dwarf planet classified by the Kipuer belt of icy rocks.
Me:....[reads the small fine print about the article of the findings to the ninth planet].....
By The Awaoclated Presa.
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz., March 13,-
In the little cluster of orbs which scampers across the sidereal abyse under the name of the solar system there are, be it known, nine Instead of a mere elght, worlds.
The presence of a ninth planet in the retinue of the sun, long suspect-
2025-05-18 16:01
Poor pluto. He was my childhood
2025-05-21 20:35
Can someone explain
"Has to have cleared its vicinity"?
Please forgive my ignorance.
2025-05-21 20:06
I think it got sick of all the drama and said I’m out.
2025-05-21 19:46
"What happened to Pluto?"
Neil deGrasse Tyson happened. Thats what.
2025-05-21 19:06
If you take that parameter of "only planets have cleared their orbits" nonsense, then nothing in this system is a planet ffs
2025-05-21 16:32
What is vicinity
2025-05-21 14:53
First neil, now you? Pluto deserves better than this.
2025-05-21 14:35
Pluto is not a planet and never should have been called a planet.
2025-05-21 13:43
Still a planet to me
2025-05-21 13:35
But apparently, Pluto was large enough to perturb the orbits of other planets so its orbit could be found and calculated . . . Then again, Pluto doesn't care what we call it.
2025-05-21 11:51
In memory of Pluto as a planet. We will always love you, Pluto.

Dwarf planets are planets too. If there was sentient life on Pluto, would you tell them their home isn’t a real planet?

When you don't have real problems.
2025-05-21 04:48
Someone explain this to me in Fortnite terms please
2025-05-21 04:41
the other one ( sedna ) is probably the farthest away from sun. literally is like so far away i wonder how it even still orbits the sun
2025-05-21 04:37
What's funny is Pluto isn't even the first object to be called a planet at first but later lose that status. This is how things work. You learn more and adjust.
2025-05-21 04:37
..hope you got over your disappointment..
2025-05-21 04:21
In the early nineteenth century, when Ceres was first discovered, it was called a planet. Then Pallas was discovered. Then Juno, then Vesta, etc. By the mid nineteenth century, the solar system was said to contain twenty or more planets. Then, after researching and studying the new planets, astronomers decided they weren't actually planets. They were all too small, they were all in basically the same orbit (between Mars and Jupiter), and none of them, with the exception of Ceres, were round. So they were all reclassified as asteroids.
2025-05-21 03:51
Pluto went from the cringiest at the adult table, to the coolest at the kids table, is how I see it. Please don’t attack me, it’s just an opinion.
2025-05-21 03:49
My professor once told us that Plutos status was revoked cause they International Astronomical Union held a conference and on the last day of the conference right after the big party early in the morning after many people were drinking and didn’t wake up early for. The few Pluto naysayers were in the room to vote majority and change these rules to become a planet. And that’s what caused Pluto to no longer be a planet.
2025-05-21 03:24
Why is she so pretty, that's my question

What if its smth to lay eggs in?
For e.g there one type of fish which makes beautfull patterns on the seabead which manipulates the water to make soft sand into the center and to attract to mate, maybe its also prottecting the eggs and giving it prottection by being burried but ventilated?
2025-05-21 00:39
Plutos heart is amazing ❤ also guys search up pluto time nasa!
2025-05-21 00:37
I'm 100% sure, except earth, there are more 11 planets, more 4 planets to be discovered
2025-05-21 00:23
What is it then?
2025-05-21 00:20
Pluto really has history about many unknown events of space which happened in the past even though now there is nothing much

2025-05-22 17:24
Pluto’s round, it orbits the Sun, and it has moons going around it, sounds like a planet to me. Expecting it to clean up everything else nearby just to earn that title feels like an unfair and kind of biased rule.

Pluto is apart of the Kiper belt, similar to the asteroid belt, it’s surrounded by objects that are like it and even one that’s bigger in size.
Although it is no longer classified as a planet, it’ll always be loved
2025-05-24 01:34
Funfact: hamuea is one of the only drawf planet that broke two rule of IAU. Being oval and messy surrounding.(Sorry if my grammar bad)

I love Pluto Too!

A bunch of academia jerks who know soooo much more than we do. Pluto is an active evolving planet with volcanoes, 'lava; flows, and glaciers. Granted, water mountains and frozen nitrogen snow and plains.
2025-05-23 21:57
it’s a dwarf PLANET.
2025-05-23 19:45
dwarf planet ceres is in asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter ???
2025-05-23 12:21
Here’s my thoughts on Pluto.
It’s still a planet, just a subgenre basically.
A dwarf planet is still a planet.
2025-05-23 06:46
Did you hear about Pluto? That’s messed up
2025-05-23 04:15
Does a short about why Plutos not a planet and still doesn't explain WHY specifically it's not a planet (as in the criteria)
