American ARMYs are Not the Grammys, we're just FANS. We're Not part of the total BULLSHIT that's going on in Hollywood or the Music industry. We're just fans who love the music, whether it was in English or Korean... we have a history of LOVING the early Korean songs, whether we understood the language or not. Just like how Americans get clumped into the corrupt politics in this country, but then when European FIFA fans got here, they realized we're not anything like how the European media portrayed us to be. We are nice, kind, and welcoming people, living in an Amazing country. So please, don't judge us American fans for the CRAP that Grammys have done, we think they're FAKE, too. Just remember, we LOVE BTS for WHO they are, not who the corrupt music industry says they're supposed to be. We already *KNEW* BTS way before the Grammys pretended they did.

Think about it. I don't speak Korean, but I can sing along to the majority of their Korean-language songs. Even songs in Spanish I can sing along to, and I don't speak Spanish. When you hear it enough, you learn to sing it. BTS does not speak English except for RM, but they sing songs in English. If I wanted English artists, I'd listen to Backstreet Boys or something. I like BTS because their songs cover a lot of genres, and I have eclectic taste; I love a lot of different genres. I cannot stand when fans ask them to speak English. Hell no, turn on your CC. I'm actually not a fan of some of their English-language songs. I like that they stick to their culture because it brings awareness to their traditions, foods, language, and travel. Like this fan said. She learned Korean to see BTS. That's powerful because Korean is one of the hardest languages to learn.

I'm finding BTS now, because of the grammys, but I've been watching k-dramas for over a decade. And learning Korean to understand them. Korea has a HUGE fan base that msm is oblivious to. Parasite was a clue to what's out there. Was Squid Games nominated for an award? I rarely watch anything American. I watch Korean, Taiwanese & British. And I'm currently checking out some Chinese stuff. The rest of the world is way better than reality TV & CSI.

I started learning Korean several years ago so that I could better understand BTS songs. They made me want to study their history,I have read several books on Korean history, learn their culture. I can , literally, bore you to tears on their culture. It has been eye opening to a Grandma who has never left the states. I would say that it was quite interesting and I continue learning something new about Korea everyday. I watch Korean news shows everyday. BTS is changing the world one fan at a time!!!
