Even taking a pic with CB is not evidence of them being ok with his crimes. I will not make guesses about what the members do or don't know. But, it's ok for us to talk about it and it's ok for people to feel disappointed. I hope the members see it and stay away from CB from now on. But, not in a "let's be really loud and get their attention until they say something" kind of way. Just in a "I hope they notice this conversation," kind of way. I don't expect them to say anything about it at all. The legal system has to deal with CB, and I don't think the members can really say anything at this point.

Or even just multiple public encouragement for people to donate to organizations that support women of DV as well as women shelter that focus on women in DV. Rather then sending hate and insulting them I believe people should ask them to instead show support and encourage other to show support. Anyone can give a apology rather to show growth I think helping others be aware of Women in DV and encourage others to donate their time or money shows a quite reflection. Also please don’t drag either member’s family in to this. I have seen some nasty comments about how people hope their moms and sisters go through DV and that is NEVER okay. People that do this have NO moral standing to be asking or questioning anything BTS and Army does and acts. Again I hope we can be respectful and polite when asking Rm, J-hope, and BTS as a whole to take a stand with women of DV and to use their platform to promote and bring awareness to this issue.

The reason why BTS have become the role models they are is also due to army holding them accountable over the years. They have said multiple times that they have learnt from fans’ critiques – I have no doubt that they will continue to do so, whether they acknowledge it openly this time or not. I am always proud of this fandom for speaking up, and for creating safe spaces such as this one, where these things can be discussed and we can learn from one another’s perspective. And I am proud of BTS for listening. When I see people saying things like ‘they might not have known what Chris Brown did, it wasn’t widely reported in Korea’ or ‘I also didn’t know what he did’, I think it’s really difficult for these arguments to have ground to stand on. You didn’t know because you are not a global musician, CB and BTS work in the same industry. And the idea that they live in a Korean bubble is absurd, they spend more time outside Korea than there. Namjoon even knew IShowSpeed’s legal name – they are neither sheltered nor naïve. I don’t know how Namjoon and Hobi justified this to themselves, perhaps this artist is such a big inspiration to them that they thought they could still enjoy his music despite his actions, perhaps they can separate art and artist in a way that most of us (myself included) can’t or don’t want to. Of course, while going to the concert was not good, posting about it made it worse. But while army has every right to be disappointed, some of the anger I’ve seen online seems both misplaced and excessive. Some people are acting like BTS joined CB’s legal team, that they publicly supported his actions, or worse, committed them themselves. There are death threats going around (does that whole crowd at his concert deserve to d*e, I wonder, or is it just BTS?). There should be a clear line between disappointment and hatred, yet I’ve seen multiple so-called fans crossing these past few days. At the end of the day, they just went to a concert. Anything more than disappointment and criticism is a disproportionate reaction. This one Instagram story does not erase years of activism on BTS’s part. If you are army you know what BTS politics are.
