[ytcid:UgwFyBJ_AgbBJKnWfLR4AaABAg] im a swiftie, so ill share my opinions. firstly regarding her music & songwriting: her last album was some of the best songwriting she has ever done in her career. extremely poetic & moving. she is allowed to pivot & do a pop album just for fun. it doesn’t make her any less of an artist/songwriter. we’ve seen her shift styles/ genres time & time again. and even ON the encore, babylon is amazing storytelling. she’s not “going backward”, she’s just changing it up like she always has. AND she’s always been a little cringy millennial. look at shake it off! it’s not her first time being silly & it won’t be her last ? in regard to her politics, like you mentioned she has openly shared her endorsements of political figures, and more recently has shown where she stands through action instead of words, donating millions to cities & charities all over the country, and she also did it not too long ago for every stop of her eras tour. it’s also unfair to compare her to ed because he has NEVER shared any political beliefs. taylor has as recently as 2024 with her endorsement of kamala. she’s not apolitical, she’s just not a public activist, and I think that comes from how any action she takes publicly gets criticized and taken out of context, with these hate campaigns fueling rumors & lies. sorry for the long explanation but I just wanted to share my side!! also pink clouding is a bop!!

I am a regular watcher of the evolution of a snake, the podcast that he puts on with another long time fan as well. As for the songs themselves, I'm ready to move past this record. It isn't my favorite, but they're in the catalog. It isn't that Taylor is incapable, it is just that she tends to find herself in a patterned set of writing that bothers me. I also don't expect her to be very vocal about politics. When it comes to her chiming in, if she says something, it will be about voting Democrat. I could go on and on, but i am leaving it there.
