I’d feel a little stress if every love song until death do us part is assumed to be about my spouse and my spouse fully knows it

But it's not working because back then, she wasn't as big as an artist as she is now. She wasn't as rich as she is now. She is a very powerful person. She has outgrown the influence of the haters. And anyone she ends up in a fight with, will be on the losing end of a power imbalance. It just doesn't work anymore. But also, these are topics you expect from people in their teenage years until someone's twenties. I personally have grown up listening to her music. But what I notice in myself is that I am starting to find myself as a person and getting more comfortable with myself. And haters don't matter. And I feel a disconnect with her new music because I am feeling the music is not growing along with my own experience. It's stuck in the teens, twenties phase. And I can imagine people liking these songs. But it's really not for me. In addition, what she writes about het husband (boyfriend before) comes across as, see you guys, I am not insufferable because this man wants me. I am good and doing well because I have a boyfriend. And I just keep feeling, what are you trying to prove? What are you projecting on your audience, on the world? I disliked the last two albums. And I dislike her affiliation with MAGA people. So I am taking more and more distance of the artist I have enjoyed for a long time.

Let me explain: Taylor loves him, that's cool. He's probably a stand up guy, treats her well, and that's great. For a real life husband, those qualities are just that ... Qualities. Very favorable and he can claim them as his path to victory if ever actually questioned about why she chose him. Now, can you sell him as this grand romance protagonist from some kind of Victorian Goth inspired Romantasy? No, that's not Travis. He's not that. And Taylor's crowd, well, they're more into someone that is more like that, and less Travis. This doesn't mean she has no right to be with Travis, or that it's a sham, or that him actually being a great partner is somehow invalid. I'd just avoid putting this as front and center, because it's hard to market to a lot of people. People expected her to marry a Dorian Gray, but she married a nicer than average football jock - A decent Tom Brady. He's a male gaze favorite (I don't mean that in a bad way, I just mean that he's a man's man idea of a perfect man, without misogyny!) all American (Again, also great, but 'doesn't fit") protagonist which you cannot market to your more ... "Into something more like Hamlet" crowd. This is ... An issue. There's also the matter of trying to sell this as a fairytale, that's gonna be hard to pass... First you don't have the guy with the right associated image... Taylor had dated many people very seriously before, and people have a hard time letting go of them from what I noticed. They're not pairing her up with guys she's never been with in their fan fiction, Travis's competition are her exes, unfortunately. And he's not being perceived as lacking as a man, or a partner, he's being seen as "not a good fit"....
